Hi Angie.
I'm so sorry to read your troubles with your daughter. This case is very similar to the one I first ever read about to find out about what was going on with Andrew and is recommend reading in the help & advice tab (marianna csoti). Her child threw up in front of other children on the school bus and that became the start of their experience of school phobia.

Schools have a LOT to answer for!! The damage and destruction the do and then continue to do is frightening. This is why I feel so strongly about raising awareness.

Angie, please have a look through the news tab as well as the advice. You can contact me more directly through the CONTACT ME facility if there is personal info you wish to discuss which is a little sensitive for display.

My daughter (13) has been increasingly suffering from school refusal. It started after she was kept at school ,2 years ago, even though complaining of feeling sick( very unusual for her) the teacher refused to let her call home and eventually after 6 hours of asking to call home she was sick in the class in front of friends. She now feels sick on a daily basis and although transferred to higher school her time has gradually dwindled to nothing. I am made to feel as though I am not trying hard enough to get her to attend, even though I have given up work and my days revolve around trying to get her there. Any help gratefully received. We have seen a counsellor although my daughter refuses to engage with any proffesionals.
